Whatever brings you to therapy today, it is my firm belief that we all have the capacity to create meaningful change in pursuit of peace.

I offer an empathetic, non-judgemental, safe space where we can work together to explore what that could look like for you.

How I Work

The neuroscience of change:

“Where attention goes, neural firing goes. And where neurons fire, new

connections can be made.” - Siegel, 2006

I am an integrative therapist, blending psychodynamic, humanistic, Transactional Analysis (TA) Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to meet your individual need.

Although these models vary in their application, they are all underpinned by the belief that without awareness we can become shaped our earliest coping mechanisms. Over time we can fall into patterns of operating that no longer serve us. Therapy can help you identify these deeply rooted experiences, thoughts and behaviours to gain a sense of strength and agency to affect change.

I provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where together, we can envisage what change could look like for you - as an individual or within your relationship.

Who I Am

Prior to becoming a therapist I worked as a documentary director for domestic and international television networks.  I bring that creativity into my therapeutic practice.

Alongside my private practice I also work for a major television corporation, helping people to navigate their creative careers. Each aspect of my work provides a creative context for the other.

How I Can Help

I work on the basis that we all make subconscious decisions in relation to our earliest experiences. Over time, patterns of thinking and behaviour emerge that we don’t necessarily have awareness of or control over. Without bringing them into focus, these patterns can lead to anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, problems in our relationships and a feeling that we don’t really know ourselves. I can help you identify these earliest coping mechanisms to help you regain a sense of agency and conscious decision making.

Testimonials

"I worked with Abi to improve my anxiety which was crippling and impacting my wellbeing, work and relationships. Abi helped me explore the source of my anxiety and identify failed coping mechanisms and worked with me to develop new ways of thinking as well as strategies to deal with my stress triggers. I can honestly say that I do not suffer from anxiety anymore and I have learned so much about myself which has helped me address even more areas of my life for the better. Though I am no longer working with Abi, I still find myself using the techniques she taught me and I can see the positive shifts in my mindset and even life approach. Abi is both patient and insightful. She has helped me so much and I highly recommend her." - Client review, 2026
